The Freed-Hardeman University Lions (11-3, 2-0 MSC) defeated the Tigers of Campbellsville University (3-8, 0-2 MSC) by a score of 4-0.  Tyler Duskin pitched wonderfully and received his third consecutive complete game.

Duskin, senior pitcher for the Lions, got the nod to start.  Duskin was able to work efficiently to keep the Tigers off the scoreboard.  The Lions went down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.

Duskin again worked quickly and collected his first two strikeouts of the game.  The Lions were still not able to get any going in the second.

The southpaw posted his first 3 up 3 down inning after letting his defense make great plays behind him.  The Lions struck first after a sacrifice fly from Mason Libla.  Christian Presley extended the lead with an RBI single through the left side.  The new score after the third was 2-0.

The Tigers threatened to score but Duskin was able to hold them off while grabbing a pair of strikeouts in the fourth.  The Lions went down quietly in the bottom part of the inning.

Duskin continued to deal against Campbellsville and showed no signs of slowing down.  The Lions added two more runs in the fifth after scoring on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly from Presley.  The new score was 4-0.

Duskin went on to throw his third 1-2-3 inning in the sixth.  The Lions threatened to increase their lead but were unsuccessful.

Duskin toed the rubber in the seventh looking to finish his third complete game.  After surrendering back-to-back singles to start the seventh, Duskin settled in and quickly got the three outs.  Duskin received the win after throwing 7 stellar innings allowing no runs on 3 hits, 3 walks, and 8 strikeouts.

The Lions will play Campbellsville University once more later today at Five Wells Field.
