HENDERSON, Tenn. — After falling in game one, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions fell in game two to the Georgetown College (Ky.) Tigers 17-12. The Lions and Tigers both had fourteen hits in the game.

After falling behind 7-0, the Lions (9-7, 0-2 MSC) responded in the bottom of the third inning. Anthony Jarvis and Baron Ratliff get things going with a single piece. Following a Will McCall walk, Christian Presley singles scoring two runs. Sean Rooney follows it up with an RBI single of his very own. To tack on one more, Mason Libla singles to help give the Lions a four-run inning.

While the Tigers (10-2, 2-0 MSC) tacked on two more runs in the top of the fourth inning, Trace Anderson led off the inning with a walk. This brought Anthony Jarvis to the plate, who ripped a two-run home run. Following these scoring efforts, Christian Presley brought home one more to make the ballgame 9-7 in favor of the Tigers.

Fast-forwarding to the bottom of the eighth inning, the Tigers are up 13-7. However, the Lions don't back down. Baron Ratliff leads off the inning with a huge double and is brought home shortly by an RBI single from Zach Sanders. Then, with Will McCall singling, Christian Presley also singles and brings another run home. Then, with a new pitcher in, Sean Rooney comes up big with a two-RBI triple.

With the Georgetown College (Ky.) Tigers adding four more runs in the top of the ninth, Zach Sanders brought home Anthony Jarvis to bring the score to a final of 17-12.

Colton Huntt (2-1) started the ballgame for the Lions, going two and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits, striking out one, and being credited for the loss. Colton Bryant, Quin Bennett, and Luis Torres-Lopez all came in relief into the ballgame for the Lions.

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow, February 24, as they will play their final game against the Georgetown College Tigers at Five Wells Field starting at 2:00 p.m.
