COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Freed-Hardeman Univesrity Lady Lions battled the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders in their first Mid-South Conference match of the season Tuesday afternoon. The hosting Blue Raiders netted three goal in the first half to defeat FHU 5-0.
The Lady Lions (4-6-0, 0-1-0 MSC) were on their heels from kickoff with the Blue Raiders firing 20 shots toward the FHU goal.
Ava Pierce made seven saves, but a flurry of goals put the Lady Lions behind 3-0 at the break.
After a save, the Blue Raiders (1-5-2, 1-1-0 MSC) netted their fourth goal of the match at 49:32 before capping the night with their fifth in the 73rd minute.
The Lady Lions took five total shots, led by
Tsielo Mokebe's two. Pierce made 10 saves in the loss.
