PENSACOLA, Fla. — A match featuring 32 combined shots ended with the Freed-Hardeman University Lion soccer team falling to the Pensacola Christian (Fla.) College Eagles 1-0.

Eduardo Almansa was on his toes early, needing to make four of his nine saves in the first 20 minutes of the opening half.
Tiro Nong got the first shot of the match off for the Lions at 18:57, but the Eagle goalkeeper kept the shot in front of him. A last-minute shot in the first half was saved by Almansa to keep the score level at 0-0 at intermission.
Noah Setterberg hoped to put the Lions on the board with a shot less than a minute into the second half cut the Eagles (7-3-3) managed to keep the shot out of the net. It was not until back-to-back cracks at a corner kick was PCC able to break through when the corner offering was headed into the back of the net at 76:17. The Lions had two late shots, but could not score the equalizer in the 1-0 loss.
