BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Finishing the fall half of their schedule, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion golf team was in the middle of the pack finishing fourth at the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview. With rounds of 345 (+57), 325 (+37), and 325 (+37), the Lady Lions carded a tournament total of 995 (+131).
Zoe Phillips' second round was the best round of the tournament for the freshman, as three birdies helped her finish with 79 (+7). In the final 18, she carded a birdie on the par-3 seventh hole to shoot 80 (+8). A three-round total of 241 (+25) had her finish in a tie for 10th place.
In a tie for 23rd place,
Aaricia Noel-Traissac and
Hannah Ruth Walton each finished with 251 (+35). Noel-Traissac had birdies on the par-5 fifth hole in both the second and third rounds. Walton's first round included a set of birdies on the par-3 third and 13th holes.
Ansley Pratt had a major turnaround from the first round to the second round, turning a 92 (+20) into an 80 (+8). The 12-stroke turnaround helped her shoot a tournament 234 (+38) and finish in 27th place.
With a three-round 279 (+63),
Jadyn Thompson rounded off FHU's team score. She had birdies in the first round on the par-3 11th hole and in the third round on the par-4 16th.
As an individual,
Maggie Crouch's birdie on the par-3 11th hole helped her finish in 37th place with 282 (+66).
