HENDERSON — The Diamond Lions of Freed-Hardeman University grabbed a set of victories over the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders in convincing fashion, first with an 8-1 victory in the first game of a doubleheader before shutting out LWC 9-0 in the getaway game.

The Lions (20-14, 2-3 MSC) fell behind early in the contest with the Blue Raiders plating a run in the top of the third, but
Trace Anderson's two-run blast uncorked a five-run fifth inning.
The Blue Raiders (4-23, 1-4 MSC) then allowed three runs to cross in the sixth inning inluding a pair of RBI hits from
Austin Johnson and
Dalton Bonner.
Austin Johnson was 3-4 on the afternoon while
Dalton Bonner tallied two base knocks. Bonner's two hits drove in a team-high three RBI.
Cooper Johnson (3-3) got the victory after tossing 4 2/3 innings in a seven-inning affair. He punched out five Blue Raiders in the victory

Dawson Massengale led the Lions with three base hits while
Cade Fuller and
Austin Johnson each had two.
Jordan Carter led the run production with four RBI while Johnson drove home two.
Evan Koob (1-2) punched out six Blue Raiders in a one-hit victory. Three Lions came on in relief to combine for the shutout.
