HENDERSON — The Lady Lions of Freed-Hardeman University earned a series victory over the Georgetown College Tigers twice in walkoff fashion. The first game was an 8-0 run-rule victory in six innings before a 2-1 victory in the second game of the day.

Karli Quillin ripped the first pitch the Lady Lions (12-12, 7-6 MSC) saw for a triple: the first of four hits for the junior.
Chloe Carter and
Brooklyn Jimmerson helped drive in all three runs to give FHU a 3-0 lead after one inning.
The best chance for Georgetown (11-18, 2-8 MSC) came in the top of the sixth when the Tigers loaded the bases with nobody out, but
Kylee Brown zeroed into the strike zone to strike out the next three batters to leave the shutout intact.
Karli Quillin was 4-4 with three runs, a double, and a triple.
Chloe Carter drove in two runs with as many hits with
Brooklyn Jimmerson driving in two runs.
Grayson Mayo was also solid at the plate by going 2-3.
Kylee Brown (8-8) got the complete game shutout where she struck out six Tigers.

Grayson Mayo and Rowland with the latter scoring a run. Quillin made it a 4-4 day from the dish with an RBI single to score Byrd before
Myleah Hardy walked off the win with a single to score the run-rule run in Quillin.

After a run-filled first game, neither team had success scoring in the second game despite each club gathering eight hits.
The Lady Lions (13-12, 8-6 MSC) fell behind after an error provided enough opportunity to a Georgetown run to score.
FHU waited until the final two frames to score with
Karli Quillin continuing her strong day at the dish by leading off the sixth with a single. She would later score to knot the game 1-1. Georgetown (11-19, 2-9 MSC) tallied a hit in the top of the seventh, but a strikeout ended the threat.
After scoring the winning run in the first game Quillin drove home the winning run in the second game to secure the 2-1 victory.
Karli Quillin and
Briley Wigginton each tallied two hits in the second game to lead FHU.
Katy Gartrell (3-1) got the complete game victory while striking out six Tigers.
