CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Freed-Hardeman Univesrity Lions out-scored the (RV) Campbellsville University Tigers 32-8 in a Sunday doubleheader to finish a Mid-South Conference sweep. After a 6-1 victory in the first game the Lions won 16-7 in the finale.

Cade Fuller drew a one-out walk
Jordan Carter's double gave the Lions (26-15, 7-4 MSC) the 1-0 lead in the top of the inning. The clubs would trade scoreless innings until FHU added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to forge ahead to a 3-0 lead.
FHU would put the game out of reach of Campbellsville (26-12, 5-5 MSC) in the top of the seventh by scoring three runs on two hits.

Dawson Massengale, and
JJ Pruneau each had two hits with Pruneau driving in half of FHU's run.Â
Cooper Johnson (4-3) hurled a six-inning victory where he held the Tigers scoreless while striking out four.

In the final game of the series Freed-Hardeman (27-15, 8-4 MSC) put up runs in six of the nine innings they played with five of those innings scoring at least two runs.
Trace Anderson led things off with a bang by smacking his season's 12th big fly. The Lions would forge ahead with a five-run second inning to make it a 6-2 lead.
Campbellsville (26-13, 5-6 MSC) salvaged runs in the late innings, but the Lion lead proved insurmountable in the 16-7 Lion victory.
JJ Pruneau paced the FHU offense with three hits and driving in as many runs.
Trace Anderson,
Jordan Carter, and
Cam Madding each tallied two hits with five other Lions recording base knocks - including
Gage Burt's two-run homer.
Hunter McLemore (5-1) earned a victory after tossing five innings in relief. The two-way freshman punched out five Tigers.

Gage Burt stepped in and launched a two-run pinch-hit homer to right.

The Lions ended the weekend in style with a sacrifice fly from Ryan driving home Bonner followed by a two-run single from Dead Bechman plating
