Tarrah Tucker's name at the top of another record for Freed-Hardeman softball.
The senior pitcher set a new program best for career wins with 45 following her complete game victory against the University of Minnesota at Crookston on March 19 at the West Florida Spring Fling tournament in Pensacola, Fla. She carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and struck out 11 batters in the 2-1 win.
Tucker now has claim to 10 program pitching records, including strikeouts in a game (16), season (287), and career (660). She also set school's record for wins in a season last year with 23. She is currently on pace to break the record for career innings pitched and career ERA, both of which are currently held by Adrienne Gann who pitched at FHU from 2003-07.
In nine appearances this season, Tucker is 8-1 with a 0.63 ERA throwing seven complete games and three shutouts. In 56 innings pitched, she has allowed just 13 hits and has struck out 86 batters while walking only nine.
Freed-Hardeman is 12-4 on the season and is receiving votes in the latest NAIA national rankings.
