HENDERSON, Tenn. - Jenna and Kaylyn Graham might be opposites, but they are inseparable both on and off the softball field. The sisters are no strangers to working together on the field as they both played on Nashville Christian School's softball team in high school.

Jenna, a junior exercise science major and the older of the two, said, “Only being two years apart in age, playing on the same team is not a new concept for us. In high school, we learned how we both could succeed being on the field at the same time.”

Kaylyn said that that they are each other's biggest supporters, even when they are frustrated. “We love laughing at each other,” she said. “We are completely opposite; she is really structured and is very hard on herself, and I am kind of laid back, so we are always laughing at each other!”

Kaylyn is a freshman business management major at FHU. The third baseman comes to the Lady Lions with 22 homeruns throughout her high school career at Nashville Christian.

Jenna, a second baseman, is continuing her solid career at FHU this year after producing 11 hits and scoring 11 runs in 33 plate appearances her sophomore year. She has already put up great numbers so far, with 28 hits, three doubles and 22 RBI's already this season.

Both girls are excited about how the team has progressed so far this season.

“The softball team is doing great this year, and I think it is because everyone likes being around each other,” Kaylyn said. “We have great chemistry and personalities.”

“Each player has a team mentality and even though we are teammates, we are friends,” said Jenna.

Kaylyn and Jenna are rarely apart. In their spare time, you can find them listening to Sam Hunt or watching One Tree Hill and the Hallmark Channel.

“It's hard to pinpoint my favorite thing to do with her because we do everything together,” Jenna said. “She is my best friend.”

Coincidentally, the Graham sisters are not the only players on the Lady Lion softball team to lay claim to the family connection. Lady Lion pitcher Makenzie Prince and first baseman Malorie Prince are also sisters on the Lady Lion roster this season and will be featured in a future article later in the season.
