GULF SHORES, Ala. – The No. 12 Lady Lions (3-0) continued their hot start to the season with a 3-1 win over Keiser University (5-5) on Friday afternoon in the first game of the Gulf Shores Invitational.

It was Morgan Crawford who got the job done on both offense and defense for the Lady Lions, hitting a two-run homerun in the bottom of the second inning to open things up, as well as moving to 2-0 on the season from the circle, going seven innings and striking out six batters.

Crawford kept the Seahawks off the board for almost the entire game, but gave up the loan run in the top of the final inning.

Freed-Hardeman's third run came in the bottom of the fifth when Kristen Hunsicker was brought in by Brittan Jarrell on a fielder's choice.

The Lady Lions will be back in action tonight at 7 p.m. when they take on Thomas University.
