HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lady Lions softball team (17-6, 9-3 AMC) earned its sixth straight win and third straight sweep after winning two games 8-0 against Park University (3-18, 3-11 AMC) on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Lions dominated in all facets of the game in both contests, as they also extended their streak of games with at least one home run to three straight.

It was Sophie Dunavant who went yard in the first game, hitting a three-run walk-off home run to make it an 8-0 game in the bottom of the sixth inning, forcing the umpires to implement the run rule.

Annalise Jarnagin also hit a three-run home run, this one in game two, which sparked an eight-run fourth inning by the Lady Lions, who eventually closed the game out in the fifth, also by run rule.

Freed-Hardeman also showed out from the circle and defensively in both games. Morgan Crawford went the full six innings in game one, just giving up two hits and striking out eight batters. Emily Bradford had a solid outing as well, pitching all five innings with three strikeouts and just three hits given up.

Jarnagin was lights out defensively as well at second base, getting an unassisted out at first base on a ground ball, making a diving play in foul territory to secure an out and leading a 4-6 double play after catching a hard-hit line drive then forcing the runner out at second base for not tagging up.

Cassie Hayes was strong at the plate, going 2-for-4 in the two games combined with an RBI. Caitlin Mitchell had two RBIs in game two, and Laiken Page had two in game one.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Tuesday at home when they face off against Lyon College in a double-header. Game one is set for 4 p.m.
