Box Score 2 LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lady Lions (4-2) took one of two against Southeastern (6-5) on Friday, winning game two 4-0 after dropping the first contest 9-0.
Allie Mitchell broke the 0-0 stalemate in game two in the second inning with a solo bomb to lead off the inning.
After scoreless innings in the third and fourth, the Lady Lions broke things open thanks to a three-run home run by Morgan Crawford, scoring Kennedy Harris and Catherine Crabb.
Brittany Adair threw her second shutout of the season in the contest, striking out five batters while only giving up three hits.
Crawford finished the contest 3-for-4 at the plate with her three RBI's, and Cassie Hayes had a 2-for-3 outing at the plate.
Crabb went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double in game one.
The Lady Lions will be back in action on Saturday against No. 25 Webber International to close out their Florida road trip. Game one of the doubleheader is set to start at 12 noon central standard time.
