Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Lions softball team (6-2) finished its Florida road trip on a high note, sweeping the doubleheader against No. 25 Webber International (8-4) 8-6 in game one and 6-1 in game two.

It was all Warriors to start the first game, going up 6-1 through the first three innings.

After a scoreless fourth frame, the Lady Lions began their rally, scoring two runs in the top of the fifth to make it a three-run contest, before putting up a five spot in the sixth inning to completely take control of the contest.

The huge fifth inning started with Cassie Hayes and Morgan Crawford both getting on base with singles to left field. Samantha Morgan would later come up with one out on the board and hit her first long ball of the season to drive in three runs and tie the game.

Kennedy Harris would come up later in the inning to drive in Brittan Jarrell and Catherine Crabb to take the lead by two runs, which would stand until the end of the game.

Freshman Chloe Winters earned the win in the contest, striking out six batters in the win.

Game two was all Lady Lions, going up 2-0 after the first two innings.

The Warriors were able to cut FHU's lead in half with a run in the bottom of the third, and after two scoreless innings, the Lady Lions opened things up with three runs in the sixth and a single run in the seventh after Morgan hit her second home run of the doubleheader to put the game out of reach.

Crabb finished the second game 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Sophie Dunavant matched her with a 3-for-4 outing of her own and an RBI. Morgan and Allie Mitchell each went 2-for-4 while each scoring two runs.

Brittany Adair earned another win on the season, punching out 12 Warriors in the process while tossing a no-hitter to move to 4-0 on the season.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Friday when they open up Mid-South Conference play. They take on (RV) Georgetown College in a four-game series at home, starting with a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 12 noon.
