HENDERSON — The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions swept through the Bethel University Wildcats by defeating the guests, 4-1, to get the league victory.
The Lady Lions (11-10, 5-1 MSC) got up over .500 with the victory, striking first with Alvia Eggleston leading off the second inning with a solo homer.
Lana Rowland would later drive a second run in to extend the lead.
Bethel (8-12, 1-5 MSC) were able to scratch one run across in the top of the seventh before the Lady Lions recorded the final out.
Lana Rowland had the only two-hit game for the Lady Lions, while Eggleston drove in a team-high two runs.
Reagan Locke (1-2) secured the victory where she struck out two Wildcats without surrendering a run.
