Box Score 2 HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lady Lions softball team (11-5, 5-3 MSC) shut out Thomas More (2-10, 1-9 MSC) 3-0 and 6-0 in the first two games of a four-game series on Thursday night.
Catherine Crabb had a very strong day out of the leadoff spot, combining 5-for-7 with a triple and an RBI, as well as scoring four runs in the two games.
The pitching and defense for the Lady Lions was a strong suit as well. Morgan Crawford went all seven innings in game one, striking out seven batters while only surrendering three hits and one walk in the complete-game shutout.
Brittany Adair continued her strong strikeout season, tossing 12 strikeouts while only giving up two hits in the complete-game win.
The Lady Lions will be back in action against the Saints on Friday with a doubleheader scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
