Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lady Lions softball team (20-6, 10-4 MSC) split games three and four with the University of the Cumberlands (24-8, 5-3 MSC) on Sunday, taking the series 3-1 after Saturday's shutout wins.

Game one on Sunday was a pitching/defensive dual with the Patriots walking it off in the 11th inning 1-0.

The game wasn't without its chances for the Lady Lions, who left 13 runners on base in the contest. But the pitching from Chloe Winters and Britany Adair kept them in it, with Winters striking out eight in the start and Adair striking out four in relief.

Game two was a different story for FHU, who got off to their usual early start with a run in the top of the first thanks to Morgan Crawford driving in Kennedy Harris with a two-out single.

After four straight scoreless innings, Allie was able to bring in Katelynn Atchley with a triple to deep left-center field to make it a 2-0 game. The Patriots were able to add a run in the bottom of the sixth, but were unable to complete the comeback.

Crawford earned the win in the circle after pitching the complete game and striking out three batters.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Friday when they host Bethel University in a four-game series. Game one on Friday is set to start at 4 p.m.
