Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The No. 19 Lions (14-10, 8-2 MSC) took the three-game series 2-1 against Georgetown College (15-9, 3-3 MSC), winning game three of the series 6-4, but falling 10-0 in game two on Saturday.
The Lions scored all six of their runs in the final game of the series in the first inning, highlighted by Dylan Lott's double that brought in two runs.
Von Watson added an RBI triple to the mix, and Mason Holden and Dom Pisano each brought in runs in the inning.
The Tigers were able to chip away in the next three innings, scoring one in the first, two in the second and three in the third, but Austin Steel came on in relief in the third inning and was able to shut the door on Georgetown.
The Lions will go on a six-game road trip, mostly in Florida, starting on Tuesday when they take on Thomas University in a single game. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. central time.
