The Lady Lions took a 1-0 lead in the third inning of the first game thanks to a leadoff home run by Samantha Morgan, her second of the season.

After the Blue Raiders scored three runs in the fourth, the Lady Lions were able to tie it in the fifth with two runs when a Kennedy Harris single drove in Brittan Jarrell, followed by an RBI single from Sophie Dunavant, scoring Catherine Crabb.

In game two of the day and four of the series, the Lady Lions took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Harris scored on an error by the Lindsey Wilson shortstop. The Blue Raiders would get that run back in the bottom of the first to tie the game, followed by a go-ahead run in the bottom of the fourth to take a 2-1 lead.

After a leadoff walk by Crabb in the top of the sixth, she was able to advance to second base and score the tying run when Caitlin Mitchell drove one to left field. But Lindsey Wilson would again take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Annalise Jarnagin led off the final inning and hit her fourth home run of the season to tie the game and force extra innings, but the Blue Raiders were able to score in the bottom of the eighth to win the game and the series.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Friday and Saturday when they host Cumberland University for a four-game conference series. Game one on Friday is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start, and the doubleheader on Saturday is scheduled for 11 a.m.
