PULASKI, Tenn. – The No. 16 Lady Lions (33-9, 21-7 MSC) opened up their final regular-season series with a pair of wins over Martin Methodist (9-22, 7-20 MSC) on Friday, winning game one 8-2 followed by 5-1 win in game two.

Allie Mitchell was the star in both games, hitting solo home runs in both contests and going a combined 3-for-5 in the wins.

Starting pitchers Morgan Crawford and Brittany Adair both had strong afternoons, holding the Redhawks to just three combined runs in the two wins while both pitching complete games.

Adair finished game two with 11 strikeouts, her 10th double-digit strikeout performance.

The Lady Lions will continue and close out the regular season on Saturday with a doubleheader against the Redhawks. Game one is slated for 1 p.m.
