Box Score 2 HENDERSON, TN — The Freed Hardeman Lady Lions have now collected wins 20 and 21 on the season, at home in a Tuesday night contest against the Williams Baptist University Eagles.
The Lady Lions, having recently gained the #4 NAIA National Ranking, collected 15 straight road wins, and won their four games against Pikeville last weekend, were prized to win their two games on March 15, 2022.
FHU standout pitcher, coming off a Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week honor, Morgan Crawford pitched a no-hitter in the first game of the day. She dominated on the mound with 11 strikeouts on top of allowing just one walk in the game, leaving her one baserunner short of a perfect game. The Lady Lions were able to win 3-0 as Kennedy Harris, Catherine Crabb, and Sophie Dunavant collected two hits a piece.
The second game of the day featured a high powered attack having a final score of 8-0 in five innings. Allie Mitchell crushed a homerun in to deep left field to lead the Lady Lions to their 21st consecutive win. Chloe Winters pitched a complete game shutout on her birthday, striking out seven.
The Lady Lions will now travel to Georgetown for a four-game series on March 18-19. They hope to maintain their perfect record as they get back on the road until March 28-29, against Shawnee State.
