SEARCY, Ark. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lions men's and women's track and field teams competed in the non-team-scored Harding University Bison Open on Saturday, April 6, in Searcy, Arkansas, against athletes from 23 other teams.
In the men's 100 meter race, sophomore
Noah Johnson, on his birthday, ran a personal best time of 11.19 seconds, the second fastest time in the distance in school history. Senior Caleb Bond also set a personal record in the event. Bond also set a personal record in the 200m.
Sophomore
Megan Lampley placed eighth in the women's 5000 meter race, and in the women's 1500 meter race, she set a personal record, running the fifth fastest time in school history. Sophomore
Elizabeth McKeeby also set a new personal record in the 1500m.
In the men's 400 meter race, senior
Sean Janiec ran the third fastest time in school history in 49.90 seconds.
Freshman
Daniel Puckett finished in eighth place in the men's 5000 meter race, and senior
Michael Rolen set a new personal record in the event.
Additional personal records were set by freshmen throwers
Greer Davis in the javelin and
Malik James in the shot put and discus.
