MCKENZIE, Tenn. — Earning their first league win of the 2025 season the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions defeated the Bethel University Lady Wildcats 9-4.
Freed-Hardeman (6-9, 1-3 MSC) got started early with an RBI single from
Brooklyn Jimmerson before
Myleah Hardy drove in three of her four RBI to put the Lady Lions on top 5-0 after three innings.
The Bethel (14-6, 1-3 MSC) offense tried to battle back with three runs in the sixth inning but were unable to complete the comeback with the Lady Lions earning victory 9-4.
Myleah Hardy and
Brooklyn Jimmerson each recorded two hits in the win with Hardy's four RBI being the most productive.
Kylee Brown (5-5) evened her record after an outstanding six-strikeout performance where she surrendered just one walk.
