CLIFTON, Tenn. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lions turned in a solid second round where nearly every golfer turned in a better score than their first round. A 315 (+27) second round combined to give them a 639 (+63) to tie for seventh place.
Ben Sebilian had the biggest leaderboard improvement, trimming five strokes but skyrocketing 17 spots to finish with a share of 14th place with a two-roun 153 (+9). In the second round he carded birdies on the par-4 fourth and 10th holes while finishing one under on the par-5 12th hole to help him to a 74 (+2) second round.
Landon Mobley dropped birdied on the par-4 fourth and 11th holes to score 77 (+5). With a two-round 161 (+17) he finished in a tie for 38th place. With a part of 43rd place,
Brady Webb scored a total 163 (+19). In the second round his birdie on the par-3 sixth hole gave him an 80 (+8) for the second round.
Cameron Long and
Braden Riddle wrapped up the team scoring with Long carding a par-3 hole three birdie. With a 91 (+19) in the second round he finished in a tie for 54th with a combined 169 (+25). Riddle's birdie on the par-4 fourth hole lifted him to an 84 (+12) to make his tournament total 176 (+32) and end in 59th place.
As an individual,
Wil Spillers dropped a birdie on the par-3 third hole to score 79 (+7) and finish with a share of 30th place with a total 159 (+15). Â
Ben Kantor had seven pars to finish his second round at 88 (+16) to finish in 60th place with a 177 (+33).
Jack Elrod had five pars to end with 91 (+19).
