WALESKA, Ga. — The Freed-Hardeman University men's golf team concluded their first tournament of the new year and stayed put in fourth place after turning in a 305 (+21) third round. After three complete rounds the Lions scored 903 (+15) and finished four strokes ahead of the fifth-place Faulkner (Ala.) team.

Lane Walton began the day on the first hole and stayed even at par throughout the first nine holes. After making the turn he tallied a birdie on the par-5 10th hole to help him score 74 (+3) in the final round. His aggregate 221 (+8) had him place 12th on the leaderboard.

Drew Massengale wrapped his tourney by dropping three birdies in his final round where she carded 74 (+3). Finishing in a tie for 13th place, he finished all three rounds scoring 223 (+10).

Finishing the week in a tie for 25th place with 230 (+17), Ben Sebilian collected two birdies on his final 18 to score 80 (+9). 

Staying even with his second round score, Cameron Long scored 77 (+6) in the final round to combine for 233 (+20) and finish with a share of 32nd place.

Lucas Gupton finished his final round with 87 (+16) to score a combined 239 (+26) to place 41st.

Eli Kibbe had a massive turnaround as an individual by going from 85 (+14) in the second round to 75 (+4) in the third to finish with an aggregate 244 (+31) and end in a tie for 43rd. Gabe Webb finished in a tie for 38th place while Braden Riddle wrapped up in 46th place.
