Lion golf adds Friendship Christian product

MT. JULIET, Tenn. — With one spring tournament under his belt, head golf coach Randall Rhodes is keeping an eye on the future as he has signed Braden Gillespie to be a Lion in the 2026-27 season.

Gillespie is no stranger to success, named as the 2024 Tennesseean Schooldays Champion. He has twice won the TSSAA Individual District II-A title, while competing as a finalist in the TSSAA individual state championship.  A three-time Notah Began Championship finalist, Gillespie has won 14 junior tournament titles while being a two-time MidSouth Golf Player of the Year.

Gillespie said of his future, "I'm excited to join the Lions golf team next fall and get to work with an elite group of players!"

"We're excited that Braden has chosen to attend FHU," said Coach Rhodes. "He brings a high level of talent, enthusiasm, positivity, and hunger to compete. Those strengths and his passion to grow will lead to many successes in his career."
