GREENVILLE, Ky. — On getaway day the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions dropped the final game of the series against the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders 3-2.
It was a solid start for Freed-Hardeman (11-12, 6-6 MSC) after
Grayson Mayo and
Christa Warren tallied back-to-back singles in the top of the second. After
Gracie Wilson's sacrifice moved them both into scoring position
Lana Rowland's single drove both home.
The Blue Raiders (17-16, 4-5 MSC) were held hitless until the fifth inning where the hosts tallied four hits including two RBI singles until a sacrifice fly drove in the winning run.
Myleah Hardy and
Lana Rowland each connected for two hits to record half of the Lady Lion hits.
Kylee Brown (7-8) was charged with the loss after striking out four batters.
