BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Kenyata Carbon and Freed-Hardeman's
Rodney Henderson are the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Rodney Henderson – Freed-Hardeman – Fr. – Guard – Chattanooga, Tenn.
- In back-to-back wins over #16 Georgetown and #3 Cumberlands, Henderson amassed six steals.
- The freshman averaged 5.5 rebounds and recorded a block as well.
- Henderson earns the first weekly honor of this season and of his career.
MSC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kenyata Carbon – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. – Guard – Owensboro, Ky.
- Carbon went for 30 points in both contests for the Blue Raiders: 32 in a victory against the Campbellsville Tigers and 33 in the win over the Cumberland Phoenix.
- In both contests, the junior shot 70.6% from the field, while also averaging eight rebounds a game.
- Carbon earns his fifth weekly conference honor this season and of his career.
