HENDERSON — Despite giving up early leads, the (RV) Lady Lions managed to battle back to win both games of a Mid-South Conference doubleheader over the Bethel Wildcats. FHU scored all seven of their runs in the last two innings to win game one, 7-6, before plating four runs in the sixth inning to win game two, 9-4.

After falling behind by three runs as late as the fifth inning, the Lady Lions (9-10, 3-1 MSC) battled back to tie the game. With two runners on,
Myleah Hardy connected for a three-run blast to tie things up.
The Wildcats (8-12, 1-3 MSC) answered in turn, driving in three more runs to take a 6-3 lead into the sixth inning. No lead would be safe against FHU as
Chloe Carter and Hardy hit RBI singles before
Reagan Locke drove in the tying and goahead run with a double.
Karli Quillin led FHU's offense with three hits while
Myleah Hardy's two hits drove in four of FHU's runs.Â
Hannah Jones had the start in the circle, going four innings before giving way to
Madelyn Cornelius (1-1) who got her first Lady Lion victory in three innings where she struck out two Wildcats.

The Lady Lions (10-10, 4-1 MSC) needed another comeback victory after Bethel opened the game with a three-run homer in the first inning.
Reagan Locke kept FHU in the game win an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning.
With the bases loaded in the fourth inning,
Karli Quillin cleared the bases with a double to draw even with the Wildcats (8-13, 1-4 MSC) before FHU would send four runs across. A three-run homer from
Myleah Hardy would give FHU the insurance needed to win the series.
The Lady Lions had 13 hits in the victory with
Chloe Carter,
Alivia Eggleston,
Myleah Hardy,
Lana Rowland, and
Karli Quillin each tallying two with Hardy and Quillin driving in three runs each.
Katy Gartrell (3-4) had the complete-game victory where she struck out six Wildcats.
