WEST POINT, Miss. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions saved their best for last, with their third round being the lowest of the tournament to help them land in fifth place with 991 (+127).
Ansley Prat led the Lady Lions, with a three-round 239 (+23) to finish in a tie for 10th place. She would collect a birdie in the first round on the par-3 third hole before sinking a par-4 birdie on the 16th in her second round. On the final day, she had three birdies by repeating the third and 16th holes while adding one of the par-4 18th.
Just behind her was
Zoe Phillips, whose 13th place tie was made by shooting 240 (+24). She would collect at least two birdies in all three rounds, but all on different holes. Her final round featured a spell of three birdies in the middle of a nine-hole run of par or better.
Finishing in 22nd place with 245 (+29),
Hannah Ruth Walton started her first and second rounds with a bang. In both, she began on the par-3 seventh hole and carded birdies each round. In her final 18 she began with par on that hole, but would sink a birdie on the par-5 second.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac's birdie on the first round's par-4 16th hole helped her to finish in a tie for 42nd place with 269 (+52).
With two birdies in the first round,
Maggie Crouched finished the tournament with a share of 45th place wtih 276 (+60).
As an individual,
Jadyn Thompson's 272 (+56) helped her finish in 44th place. She would card a birdie on the par-3 seventh hole in the first round before sinking a par-5 birdie on the 15th hole in the secoudn round.
