BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-- Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Hunter McLemore and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Clay Shelton are the Mid-South Conference Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States. 

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Clay Shelton - Cumberlands (Ky.) - Gr. - Williamsburg, Ky.

• Shelton hit .545 (6-for-11) for the No.6 ranked Patriots last week to help Cumberlands go 3-1 last week against Lindsey Wilson University (Ky.) and Union Commonwealth University (Ky.)

• Shelton went 5-for-6 with three home runs and seven RBIs in two wins against Lindsey Wilson University (Ky.)

• Shelton's final state line four home runs, one double, 11 RBIs, two walks, five runs score, 1.000 fielding percentage, 29 putouts 

• Shelton earns his first weekly conference honors of the season. 

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Hunter McLemore- Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) - So. - Henderson, Tenn.

• McLemore tossed a seven inning complete game against Campbellsville University (Ky.)

• McLemore struck out six batters in his outing without surrendering a walk and allowed four runs in his start to help RV Freed-Hardeman take the series from Campbellsville University. 

• McLemore would go 3-4 at the plate with a home run and two RBI's in the series 

• McLemore earns his first weekly conference honors of the season.
