GULF SHORES, Ala. — Bouncing back from two losses on Friday, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions answered with a 7-2 victory over th (RV) Texas A&M-Victoria Jaguars before falling in the the second game of the day against the (RV) Faulkner (Ala.) University Eagles, 6-2.

Freed-Hardeman (4-6) found the run column with three multi-run frames.
Chloe Carter singled in two of FHU's three runs in the third inning to take the lead.
The Jaguars (13-6) answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but two-run fifth and sixth innings from FHU wrapped the game in maroon and white.
Lana Rowland was 3-for-3 from the plate while
Chloe Carter,
Myleah Hardy, and
Reagan Locke each drove in two runs.
Hannah Jones (2-1) went the distance where she punched out seven Jaguars while allowing just one earned run.

Christa Warren led off the inning with a four-pitch walk before
Lana Rowland singled. An errant throw allowed Warren to cross as the first run of the day. With Rowland joined by
Annalee Qualls on the base paths,
Chloe Carter's single drove in both.

A throwing error put a Jaguar into scoring position, promptly scoring two batters later with an RBI single. An unearned run would cross on a double later in the inning.

After Carter led off with a single and
Reagan Locke reached on an error,
Myleah Hardy's double sent both runners home to extend the Lady Lion lead.

The Lady Lions put the game out of reach thanks to leadoff singles from Warren and Rowland. The early hits later paid off with Locke's two-run double.

In the day's second game, the Lady Lions (4-7) fell behind when Faulkner plated two runs in the top of the first inning. FHU was able to tie it up in the bottom of the second with
Myleah Hardy driving in one of the Lady Lions' two runs.
Faulkner (13-4) added two more insurance runs in the fifth before putting the game out of reach with another two runs in the sixth.
FHU's four base hits came with two from
Lynnlee Brown and two from
Briley Wigginton.
Katy Gartrell (1-3) pitch all seven innings for FHU, striking out three Eagles.
