The Freed-Hardeman University Lions JV bounced back against the Northwest Shoals (Ala.) Community College Patriots by a score of 4-2.
Stephan Overstreet led the Lions with three hits followed by two hit days from
Ben Turner and
Jackson Vize. The Lions started off strong in the top of the 1st inning with a Kimmey Johnson hit by pitch,
Ben Turner reached on an error, and Stephan Overstreet loaded the bases with a single of his own.
Kobe Pridemore clears the bases with a 3-RBI double to help the Lions lead 3-0. In the top of the seventh inning, the lions tac on one more run with a solo home run to finish out the ballgame 4-2 in favor of the Lions.Â
Riley Keesey (1-0) started on the mound for the Lions pitching give innings allowing four hits two earned runs and three strikeouts.
Joe Romines (S1) pitched four innings allowing two hits and striking out four batters to finish the ballgame.Â
The Lions will be back in action on February 21 for a doubleheader against Williams Baptist (Ark.) University's JV squad starting at 1:00 PM.
