SENATOBIA, Miss. — The Freed-Hardeman University JV Lions fall to the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers by a score of 10-8.

Sam Williams brings him home on the sac-fly to make the score 1-1. In the top of the third, Stephan Overstreet leaves the field with a solo home run to make the score 2-1 Lions. In the top of the fourth inning,
Chase Eakes does it all with a loud single that turns into a two base error as well. Eakes later scores on a wild pitch to make it 3-2 Lions. In the top of the fifth inning, Stephan Overstreet leads off the inning with a hit by pitch. Ethan Quinn brings him home with a RBI double and
Chase Eakes brings him home with a RBI single to make the score 5-2 Lions. In the top of the eighth inning,
Jackson Vize leads off with a walk in which
Ben Turner brings him home with a RBI single to make the score 6-6. After the Rangers score four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning,
Max Kirby brings home two runs in the top of the ninth inning; however, it is not enough for the Lions.Â
Tyler Wingard got the start for the Lions pitching six innings four earned runs on seven hits and striking out four batters.
Justin Whitman (0-2) got the lost for the Lions pitching two innings on three hits two earned runs and two strikeouts. The Lions will be back in action on March 5th against the Dyersburg State CC Eagles.Â
