The men's golf team is looking for a strong showing in their fall season. The team is returning 11 players from last season, including six of their top seven. Lucas Gupton, Lane Walton, Drew Massengale, Gabe Webb, and Cameron Long all return after being key scorers from last year's team. Massengale averaged a team low score of 73.4 across 24 rounds last season, including one top-10 finish. Walton secured a top-three finish at the home course last year, while averaging a score of 74.4 across the entire season.
Drake Johnson, Chad Joyner, Eli Kibbe, Braden Riddle, and Daniel Whitman are all returning with experience under their belt. Joining the team this season are three freshmen, Jay Coleman of Columbia Academy, Braden Gillespie of Friendship Christian School, and Leo Huddleston from Maryville High School. Jayce Hutchens joins the team from Calhoun Community College, where he finished inside the top-10 five times last season, including a fourth-place finish while holding a top-75 ranking. The team will kick off their fall season at the Eagles Open in Waleska, Ga. at the Lake Arrowhead Yacht and Country Club on August 24 and 25.
