HENDERSON — It will be a new look for the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion golf team as they prepare for the 2026-27 season.

Only two players from the 2025-26 campaign will return for coach Randall Rhodes. Both Hannah Ruth Walton and Zoe Phillips return after each earning a spot on the Mid-South Conference's All-Conference second team. Walton returns for her senior season after averaging 79.6 in 25 rounds of action. She had three top-3 finishes in 2025-26 with a season-best second-place tie finish at the FHU Fall Invite. Fellow returner Phillips also topped out with the other half of second-place finish at the FHU Fall Invite. Phillips averaged 80.7 in 25 rounds with four finishes inside the top-10.

Four freshmen will don the maroon and gold with Maizie Bailey of Murfreesboro, Peyton Mraz of Broomfield, Colorado, Camryn Porior of Thompson's Station, and Shelby Smith from Indian Mount joining the Lady Lions.

Coach Rhodes' Lady Lions open the year at the Firehawk Invitation on September 14-15 before hosting the FHU Invitational on September 28-29. They will compete in two more invitationals before meeting up with with other league teams for the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview on October 26-27.
